Hello CHamp programmers and users I had the joy of an introduction cours in informatics with champ in high school, it was pretty easy to understand and program more or less usefull programms (with the huge lack of usability due to the fact that my programs wouldn't run on any other computer than mine). Now I'm again taking an introduction class in informatics this time at the Univesity, we use a GNU C++ compiler with Xemacs on SUN stations. There is nothing wrong with that and since Xemacs and the GNU compiler are also available for Windows, one gets used to it. Now I'm able to make programs for "everybody". But this new freedom has its downsides too, the neat graphical windows are gone. And because my computer crashed a while ago and I had to format my harddrive I can't compile my old projects anymore, because the BC 4.5 isn't available anymore. And I can't even run my old programms anymore, because I don't have champ installed any more. It's kind of sad that now that my c++ knowledge has grown quite a bit and I had a project in mind, which could use two graphical windows very well, nothing would work for me (it wouldn't heven have to run on every computer). I have asked myself if it would be that hard to get it to run on my MinGW version 2.0.0 from http://www.mingw.org/ but since I have no idea how those things work and what it takes to make a version run with a specific compiler, I couldn't find an answer. So I thought, although, the thread is 3 years old, I might find an answer here. so, If you see a solution for my problem (a link to an old Borland C++ 4.5 compiler that works on the "new" Win XP would do too) Please tell me asap.
